What happens during Otoplasty?

This procedure is designed to pin back your ears in regards to changing their shape to the one that you desire. The surgeon will perform a few incisions along the back of your ear to expose the cartilage and then remove portions of it until the desired shape is achieved. Then the skin is repositioned and sutured behind your ear.

Which is the length of the surgery?

The surgery takes about 2 hours or so, although some complicated cases might take longer.

Will I have to stay in the hospital?

This is an ambulatory procedure, you will be able to return home on the same day of your surgery.


How much time will I have to wait to go back to work?

Usually or patients are up and about after one or two weeks after surgery.

When would I see the final results of my Ear surgery?

The healing will improve depending on your natural physical characteristics. Final results might be seen after 6 months.
