How do I know if I am a good candidate for breast lift?

What happens during breast lift surgery?

This procedure removes excess of skin. Rearranging the muscles, fat and tissue, lifting the breast and placing the nipple and areola into their new position on the lifted bust. Then the skin is brought from both sides of the breast down and around the areola, shaping the new contour of the breast.

Which is the length of the surgery?

Usually it takes about 1:30 hours to 3 hours.

Will I have to stay in the hospital?

Most of our patients can return home on the same day of surgery.

How much time will I have to wait to go back to work?

You will be able to go back to your normal activities and work within 1 week.

Do you have some extra tips for a faster recovery?

Follow carefully all the post-op instructions we give to you after your surgery, also the most common recommendations for the first three weeks after surgery are:

  • Avoid lifting heavy items.
  • Do not raise your arms above your head
  • Avoid excessive force, abrasion, or motion during the time of healing.
  • If you experience shortness of breath, chest pains, or unusual heart beats, don’t hesitate to call us immediately.

When would I see the final results of my breast lift surgery?

Following your surgery, an elastic bandage or support bra will be given to you to support your breasts. Final results might be seen after 6 months or maybe a year after surgery.
