How do I know if I am a good candidate for breast reduction?

If you feel uncomfortable with the size of your breast because they are unproportionate to your body, and you are starting to suffer of back and neck pain because your bust is to heavy, you are a possible good candidate for this procedure.

What happens during breast reduction surgery?

The surgeon will extract fat and remove excess of glandular tissue of your breasts, then he will move the nipple and areola to their new position. In some cases, liposuction is needed to remove excess of fat of the armpit area too.

Which is the length of the surgery?

Usually it takes about 1 hour and a half to 3 hours.

Will I have to stay in the hospital?

Most of our patients can return home on the same day of surgery.

How much time will I have to wait to go back to work?

You will be able to go back to your normal activities and work within 2 week.

Do you have some extra tips for a faster recovery?

Follow carefully all the post-op instructions we give to you after your surgery, also the most common recommendations for the first 3 weeks after surgery are:

  • Avoid lifting heavy items.
  • Do not raise your arms above your head
  • Avoid excessive force, abrasion, or motion during the time of healing.
  • If you experience shortness of breath, chest pains, or unusual heart beats, don’t hesitate to call us immediately.

When would I see the final results of my breast lift surgery?

Following your surgery, an elastic bandage or support bra will be given to you to support your breasts. Remember final results are seen after 6 months or maybe a year after surgery.
